As an experienced wedding celebrant I spend a lot of time writing wedding ceremonies so I know that your wedding vows are arguably the most important part of your wedding.  In Australian wedding ceremonies saying your vows is the point when you are actually married, so it is important that your vows have meaning for you.  With this in mind many couples choose to personalise or even write their wedding vows, but often find it to be harder than they thought.

The choice of whether to have music in your ceremony and if so which music to have is a very personal one.  It will have a large impact on the atmosphere for your ceremony and also on how the ceremony feels to you.  Think about the style and type of wedding you want to have and then make your music decisions based on that.  

Traditionally there are certain points during a wedding ceremony when music is played. 

Your wedding ceremony is one of the most important events of your life so it is only natural that you may want to include the people closest to you in your wedding ceremony.  It is also not unusual to feel obligated to include someone in your ceremony, especially if you played a part in their ceremony or they are family members.

You’re engaged and planning the most special day of your life. There are so many things to organise choosing a venue, a photographer, deciding on flowers, finding the perfect dress… the list goes on. Of course all these things are important and will have a big impact on your day; however one of the most important choices you need to make which will have a huge impact on your wedding is often given a low priority.
